I bought this Precision 185 daysailer new in May 2005 and have sailed it around 25 times on Lake Macbride in Iowa. It's in excellent like-new condition. I'm not going to be able to sail it this year and probably won't be able to in 2009 either due to work travel outside of the US. It comes with a Performance trailer, main and jib sails, self-furling jib, kick-up rudder and centerboard, Harken deck hardware, motor mount, transom mount mast carrier, hiking stick, and an ice chest.
It's a fast and stable boat with a large sail plan, wide hull design (7'4" beam), and low weight (590 lbs). I mostly sailed it singlehanded. I've never used a motor on it and itís never been capsized. More technical specifications about the boat can be found at Precision Boat Work's web page and the Sailing World review of the boat at the URLs listed below.
Please e-mail me with any questions, or photo inquiries. I'm currently in Kenya but my girlfriend, Jenna, can show the boat in our Iowa City backyard.
